Either on a luxurious motor speed boat or travelling with a sailing catamaran, you can visit the nearby island Ios for a full day cruise. Only 22 miles away from Santorini, Ios belongs to the South Cycladic islands and its landscape is full of hills with cliffs reaching the shores. Beautiful beaches with gold sand, peaceful bays with blue waters are all around the island. It is said that Homer's Tomb is in Ios and also that his mother was from there. The tour starts in the morning from Vlichada marina and, depending on the vessel you will choose, it will take us 1-2 hours to reach Ios. Snacks and refreshments are offered throughout the trip. |
| Our first stop is at Manganari beach, which has been awarded the Blue Flag due to its extraordinary water quality and safety and services offered. In that colorful scenery you can enjoy local sea-food in the traditional tavernas and swim in the deep blue waters. Scenes from the famous “Deep Blue” movie were shot in Manganari. Depending on the weather, we can also visit some other private beaches such as Tris Klissies and others. Then we sail to Ios harbour, which is a beautiful and picturesque little port. You will have time for lunch or coffee and shopping in the wide area of the port. We return in Santorini before sunset time, i.e. from 18.00 to 20.00 (depending on the season). We offer free complimentary transfer service to your hotel. |
